Everyone's been wanting a kicker. We've got one. Guyer appears to be one of the top kicking prospects in the state up with Linn-Mar's Grant Mahoney. At 6-3, 170, he's a taller kicker (not as tall as Culbertson).

Guyer has been a strong performer at Kohl's Kicking Camps. Here's what Jaime (yes, the former ISU kicker) has to say about Zach.

Zach is a tall good prospect. He has a great leg and can be very smooth. He finished 13th on KO and made 71 % of his FG at the Scholarship Camp. Last season Zach had 4 Fg and had a long Fg of 44 yards. Zach has worked with Kohl’s and we feel he is a scholarship kicker. Zach is also going to be punting this season and could be an outstanding punter as well.

I seriously doubt he'd jump over Brandtner on the depth chart at punter, but its nice to have that versatility.

Guyer committed to ISU over UNI, according to Rivals. He also claims to be a Husker fan. Also likes Guitar Hero, fried chicken and accounting classes. No one ever accused a kicker of being normal.
