The New Uniforms are Here! The New Uniforms are Here!

Here's some new unis for ya. We went with the I-State logo. Full uniform/logo look after the jump, so click on Full Story.

Oh, by the way, here's the official Cyclones.com release as well as their FAQ.

The new logo will come in for 08-09 and will be at midfield and midcourt.

All blue will be done away with.

Pollard also announced that ISU will move into Nike's Elite Division, which should mean more Cyclone stuff available on shelves for us to buy.

New Dolphins logo...sort of

Definitely an upgrade

I like 'em, but probably would have preferred a gold helmet.  At least the helmet isn't white...that just looked goofy.  The cardinal helmet would look cooler w/ a gold stripe down the middle too.

The one thing that confuses me is why we're now using "I State" instead of ISU.  True, www.isu.edu leads you to Idaho State, but at least ISU had some connection to Iowa State.  No one has ever heard of I State...so it's a huge uphill climb to get any sort of name recognition w/ it.  Plus the logo is kinda...well...cheezy.  It looks pretty generic...like JP made it in Windows Paint or something.  Maybe it'll grow on me, but I think I would have preferred ISU to I State.

With Apologies To Randy Edsall, The Big East Remains Mostly Harmless

FILE -- This is an Oct. 18, 2008 file photo showing Connecticut corner back Jasper Howard (6) trying to get the crowd into the game during the fourth quarter of an NCAA college football game against Rutgers, in Piscataway, N.J. Jasper Howard had his little sisters' names tatooed on his chest. His friends say it was a constant reminder of why he was at U Conn _ to provide his family with a better life than the one he had in Miami's Little Haiti. (AP Photo/Mel Evans, File) link
