Trinity Valley C.C. left tackle, and former Arp multi-sport star Zack Spears told David Smoak he's committed to play at Iowa State University.

Spears, a 6-7 320-pound left tackle, chose Iowa State over Memphis, SFA, and South Alabama. He also received some interest from Utah.

Spears, a star basketball player at Arp, has only played two years of football, one at Arp, and one at Trinity Valley. Spears will sign on Wednesday, and join former high school teammate Sedrick Johnson in Ames, Iowa.
