For the love of everything holy

I hope not.

I don’t want to tempt fate. If he was hired, Cyclone fans would freak, I would freak and probably convert to some other athletics program.

Not if Pollard likes money

…..because I guarantee people would pull donations if he got hired.

That's fine, but Phil fucking Fulmer isn't going to coach Iowa State

As for Farley, I don’t really see the outrage. He’s a really good coach. Ohio State seemed to do okay hiring a successful, local I-AA coach.

Ohio State ≠ Iowa State

Plus Farley is successful in part thanks to discarded parts from better programs. Trust me, we don’t want him. Would you want him to replace Ferentz?

From the (horse's) mouth...

the coaching search is over. Supposedly, we got the guy yesterday. That lends itself to all the Stoops hubbub, of course – but they no longer mention him by name. Obviously they want to cover their butts if when they’re wrong. The only real info in the post is that the coach is currently in a bowl game.

I personally don’t think it’s done yet; no AD has said we’ve even asked for an interview. I’m chalking the whole thing up to Marty banging the Stoops drum.
