Iowa State: We hear that former Auburn offensive coordinator Al Borges is a candidate to become the offensive coordinator at Iowa State.

Football Scoop is reporting that Al Borges is under consideration to join Gene Chizik's staff. Borges coached with Chizik at Auburn during their National Championship run.

The Auburn ring sounds nice, but i’m holding back enthusiasm considering that this is the architect of the “thrilling” 3-2 game at M-state.

True

I would argue that Arnuad is a better QB than what Auburn had this past year. That was an UGLY game though!

I personally want a guy that is willing to adapt his system to the talent at hand – that’s the sign of a good coach. I also want a coordinator that can recruit some talent in order to run the system.

At the end of the day you need the players, and ISU needs to keep improving on the recruiting trail!
