The class appears to be done for the day, subject to change on any last second commitments. A good day, in all, for Cyclone recruiting, including a surprise at the top.

I'm surprized

I can't believe that we got Leonard Johnson. Him and Ter'ran Benton in the back field should be what we need to run a true Tampa II style defense. Hopeful the DE, and the LB that we got be able to keep up. I see big things for us on defense in a couple years if not right away. The only person I haven't seen yet is Jerome Tiller I hope we didn't loose him last minute.

We seem to have good luck...

...with players named Johnson. Getting Sedrick is a big deal.

Kicker

I sure hope the new kicker from Linn-Mar is better than Culbertson.  I don't know if I can take another season of terrible field goals.  Do you think he'll be good?

From what I've read...
Mahoney will be our XP and short FG guy, and Guyer will do kickoffs and long FG. At least, that's the plan....

Very Happy

I look at this list of kids and it makes me smile. Really you can't completely go by how many stars are next to the kids name.Although when I see a four star recruit that does get me excited that there is a possible star there to take us to the next level. But on top of that I think our coaching staff had certain things that they were going for as far as talent and honestly I think they got exactly what they wanted. I see alot of kids with good natural speed. And good quailty kids that won't be dropping out because they can't cut it in college, or getting themsleves in trouble and kicked off the team. I can't wait for the season opener already. I hope to see some of these guys right away. What a great time to be a cyclone finally!!!!
