In a little bit of a surprise to me, the readers selected the slighty more experienced Nate Frere by a nose over Jerrod Black for the nose guard position. Black was the defensive scout team player of the year for 2007, but you guys apparently like experience.

The fight for defensive end shouldn't be much of a fight at all. Kurtis Taylor comes in as the returning starter, as well as the #2 sacks guy from the Big 12 in 2007. His backup, Nick Frere had 11 tackles, 30 fewer than Taylor.
