Saturday Shenanigans

Yes, I may regard it as a bit of a conflict of interest to comment directly on Iowa State right now, but that doesn't mean we can't talk college football for the rest of America today.....

I'll work to update this post for games directly relevant to ISU.

Next Game

Maine Black Bears
@ Iowa Hawkeyes

Saturday, Aug 30, 2008, 11:05 AM CDT
Kinnick Stadium

BIG TEN NETWORK

The Big Ten Network has made it's way to the state of Iowa in time to see one of the league's premier pillow fights between the Maine Black Bears and the Iowa Hawkeyes. The Hawk are facing questions about the quarterback position. Jake Christensen and Ricky Stanzi may very well split time. Also keep an eye on Shonn Greene, who will need to shoulder a heavy load at runningback.

Next Game

Oklahoma St. Cowboys
@ Washington St. Cougars

Saturday, Aug 30, 2008, 2:30 PM CDT
QWEST Field - Seattle, WA

FSN

A possible trap game for Oklahoma State in a trip to the Pacific Northwest. Oklahoma State was an early season sleeper pick in 2007, but few are picking them any higher than fourth in the Big 12 South. This is a big game that they can't afford to drop early.

Next Game

Western Michigan
@ Nebraska Cornhuskers

Saturday, Aug 30, 2008, 6:00 PM CDT
Memorial Stadium

FSN PPV

I'd love to see Nebraska come out of the gates slowly. Is Bo Pelini the answer? Is the subtraction of the Bill Callahan All-Stars enough to change things around in Lincoln?

Next Game

Boston College Eagles
@ Kent St. Golden Flashes

Saturday, Aug 30, 2008, 6:30 PM CDT
Cleveland Browns Stadium - Cleveland, OH

ESPNU

Iowa State's next opponent in a national TV game against BC in Cleveland. Watch for Eugene Jarvis, and pray to God that Kent State isn't one of those BCS killers this year.

Next Game

Illinois Fighting Illini
@ Missouri Tigers

Saturday, Aug 30, 2008, 7:30 PM CDT
Edward Jones Dome - St. Louis, MO

ESPN

Very obviously, one of the games of the night.

Iowa

Weird first drive, moving it with ease, then nearly get stuffed at the goal line.

I know

it’s not there, but ECU started so strong against Virginia Tech, but made two stupid mistakes and they’re down 14-0.
