I love Coach Bill and the things he has done for ISU women’s basketball. The football team is a question mark and the men’s basketball team is questionable. Without women’s basketball and wrestling it would be a long winter.

One of the things I like about Bill’s coaching is that he doesn’t get the top flight kids. What he does is that he takes the Ashley Arlens of the world and turns them into good sound basketball players. When he recruited Arlens my first thought was WHY? She was a shorter post player that didn’t dominate in high school. I thought she would be sorely overmatched in college. How wrong was I? She is the biggest surprise of the freshman class and is getting a lot of playing time when we have an abundance of upperclassmen post players. Add in Williams and Yackley and you have a good freshman class.

I am looking forward to some very good games in the Big 12 this year and another invite to the Big dance for the ISU women. Go Cyclones.
