Harrison Barnes Open Thread

This is going to be for all things Harrison Barnes today. Feel free to post your thoughts on the situation, the latest rumor you've heard, where you think he will sign, reaction to the press conference, etc.

After the press conference is over, I will do a quick writeup and of course you can weigh in on your thoughts there as well.

I will say that it will be an interesting day, I wish Harrison luck wherever he goes, and it was neat to live in a town with a story like this.

It's sick

Searching around the internet at work waiting to hear where a high school kids decides he wants to go to college. What’s wrong with me? :)

Me too

I told myself to assume the worse, not to care about it, but all I’ve been doing is going online to try to get info…. I’m just glad that no matter the news, we have 2 Basketball Games and 1 Football game to look forward to!

Besides this kid

is there anything else going on in Ames? Do people even talk about the football game this weekend?

Getting blown out last week didn’t help the cause. I think that if ISU was 6-4 coming off a big win, there would be more talk of this.

But at the same time the national sports media is talking about a guy from Ames High School… How often does that happen?

I get what you’re saying though. My plan is to react to the announcement, get my thoughts out there, open up the comments to the readers, and then to focus on Basketball tonight, Football Tomorrow, and Basketball on Sunday!

Time to move on

Wish we could have had him but we’ll be alright. Let’s pick up some wins this weekend.

And good luck to Harrison

Sounds like he’s a really good kid who had to make a tough decision. It would be tough to turn that down.

Yeah

Disappointed, but that’s the way it goes.

I’ll write something on this later…. At work and can’t do it now
