Cyclones To Tempe!

Insightbowl_medium

According to Austen Arnaud's Facebook status, and numerous media sources. I have to say I'm super pumped about this! It's looking like ISU vs. Minnesota in the Insight Bowl. So who's heading out West for New Years???

EDIT: Minnesota has accepted a bid to the Insight, so it's going to be us vs. Minnesota, in a very winnable game!

Tempe

Even as an Iowa fan, I am considering booking a flight down on the 30th, and going to this game on New Year’s Eve. Plus, I hate Tim Brewster, and if that’s who you will all in fact face, I will be rooting for the Cyclones (and then taking a cold rape shower back at the hotel before going out for New Years).

Congratulations on getting a coach who has figured out how to take your program in the right direction. I’m interested to see how Chizik falls apart down at Auburn once he’s got kids who are all his recruits.

They took the bar, the whole fucking bar!

Congratulations!!!

Paul Rhoads has done a fantastic job and you still have tons of fans here in Alabama! Here’s hoping you defeat whatever Big Ten team accepts the invite to the Insight Bowl. Again congratulations on all that your team has accomplished this year!!!

Sweet

This is actually a really good game. Definitely beats Shreveport.

I had mentioned this as a possibility in an earlier post below but didn’t think it would happen. It would actually be a great game with the added regional rivalry.

That’s the first set of plans for NYE.

Yeah, you were right

I really didn’t think it was happening with beating Missouri, but we lucked out I guess.

Looking forward to it!

With 25 days until the Bowl Game, I am going to hold off a little bit before previewing the game

But, if people want to write some fanposts or comments about their bowl travel plans or their thoughts on the game, that would be awesome.

I know I’m trying to make the trip. The big thing in the way is a combination of expensive airfares (over $500/person), and a very long drive from Ames to Tempe…. But we will see

Previews are best left till later to make the game feel less stale. The problem with a bowl around New years is that airfares and probably even gas prices are usually high.
