New York Times breakdown of the next season for Iowa State Football. Pretty brutal, but I think an unfortunately honest assessment of next season. Main points, Good new coach, good returning starters, good up and coming players, no shot what-so-ever in the brutal Big 12. Their Prediction: 2-10 or 3-9 Dream season: Rhoads tops Chizik’s career win total with a 7-5 finish. A victory over rival Iowa only endears him further to the Cyclone nation. Nightmare season: Not only do the Cyclones go winless in Big 12 play, they lose non-conference games to both Army and Kent State. My prediction: 4-8 (we hopefully will win one big 12 game and I can't bring myself to have us lose to both North Dakota State and Iowa)
