As some of you may know Iowa State has been looking to cut costs due to the rough economy. Because of this the athletic department has decided that they won't print media guides for the upcoming year. However, they will still provide an online version.
The guides traditionally feature program records and information to assist the media, and they're also used as recruiting tools. Iowa State says it will still produce a media guide that will be available online.
The Cyclones are not alone in this move as several other schools have began to do the same thing. Other schools ending printed media guides include Ohio State, Michigan, and Wisconsin. Iowa is also considering using an online only media guide to reduce costs.
