Mike Leach to Join Iowa State. Sort Of.

Former Texas Tech head coach is joining the Iowa State coaching staff. Sort of.

He will be joining as the keynote speaker at the 2011 Iowa State coaches clinic. Leach, who currently is in a quest to gain revenge on Tech after his termination will be speaking at the Gateway Hotel on April 1. Leach is a California native, but spent a couple of years in Mount Pleasant, Iowa, as the offensive coordinator at Iowa Wesleyan.

To dig a little deeper into something, possibly making something out of nothing, it's certainly not the worst sign if Leach is close with members of the Iowa State coaching staff. Hopefully he can help impart some offensive wizardry on one of the worst offensive teams in the nation. God knows there's worse people out there that could be giving their input.
