"Gentleman, from that fateful day when work first began on Jack Trice stadium and the Cyclones engaged in battle on its soil, our greatest dread has always been the subpar video & sound. But tonight, we shall hurl the gauntlet of science into the frightful face of death itself. Tonight, we shall ascend into the heavens. We shall mock the earthquake. We shall command the thunders, and penetrate into the very womb of impervious nature herself."
"IGOR! THROW THE SWITCH!"
"ALIVE!!! IT'S ALIVE!!!!"
As you can see from the picture above, the superstructure for the new video board is finally in place. The videoboard itself should be hung sometime next month, with the board ready to go for the first game of the year September 3rd. A hearty congratulations goes out to the construction workers who worked late into the night getting the board in place. And if you weren't one of the dozens of people who watched the construction, you can watch a time-lapse video on cyclones.com here (scored by "Eminence Front!")
