The Iowa State football program picked up their eleventh commitment for the 2009 class today, as Deon Broomfield, two star safety from Palm Bay (FL) Bayside, decided to become a Cyclone.

Broomfield visited campus during the Nebraska game, and more than likely saw an opportunity to play early and often.

Broomfield picked up 85 tackles, as well as three interceptions and three fumble recoveries.

Deon committed to ISU over Florida Atlantic, but he was also receiving interest from Iowa, Florida International, Purdue, Mississippi State, USF and UCF.
