Saturday brings yet another grand opportunity for Greg McDermott to get that first real marquee win during his tenure at Iowa State. There should be a good crowd tomorrow with the weather not overly horrible and a mid-afternoon start time. The ISU-Texas series has been a rather unique one. Tasheed Carr. Brian Boddicker. There's some recent memories abound. ISU will need a strong all around game on Saturday, but a quick start may get the crowd into the game early. Wes Johnson will start tomorrow. Texas is just 2-5 in Hilton Coliseum all-time. Let's keep their experiences in Ames disheartening.
ISU will need big games across the board tomorrow. We could very easily get blown out, but the history of this series leaves one to expect the unexpected.
