This was a dissapointing performance from ISU.  Having come off an expected and nice win, I was hoping the team would be able to get some sort of a streak going.  Perhaps I am too much of an optomist because that was not the case.

So what went wrong?

Really it was the last 5 minutes in the first half and the first 5 minutes in the second half. As ISU was outscored 19-2 during this span.  With about 5:00 left to go in the first, the game was tied 35-35. A&M went on a 9-2 run to close out the half.

In the 2nd half, A&M went on a 10-0 run to start it off. From there, the game went in a downward spiral. We were down by as much as 26 with about 10:00 left in the 2nd half. We did an alright job of battling back, but the deficit was too much.

So how did this happen?

A&M was just more athletic and physical than ISU. They were able to get to the hoop, and get offensive rebounds. Josh Carter also was 7 of 10 from 3 which definitely helps the cause.

Where do we go from here?

I have no clue. I guess you hope they win a couple games, and start looking towards next year.

You can't go through 10 minute stretches of not scoring (or scoring very little). In almost every conference road game, it's seemed to be the case that we'd go through large droughts. I am not sure if it is being out coached, or ISU just getting plain beat physically.

All I know is a 15 road game losing streak in conference play is damn frustrating.

Hopefully we can break that streak against Nebraska. They are a beatable team, but who knows what's going to happen.
