#19 Iowa St. 59, #21 Texas 55

Unlike so many other Iowa State teams, the women's basketball squad is a different monster. It didn't matter tonight that they were missing All-Big 12 second teamer Heather Ezell. It didn't matter that Texas won earlier this year at Hilton. Tonight the Cyclones took care of business in Oklahoma City and will move on to face #7 (2 seed) Baylor tomorrow at 2:30 PM on FSN.

Allison Lacey paced the Cyclones with 25 points on 5-6 shooting from beyond the arc. ISU held Texas to just 32.8% field goal shooting on the night to all but guarantee nothing lower than a five seed, and likely a four seed in the NCAA tournament. A win over Baylor tomorrow would likely guarantee a four and bring a three seed into the picture.

Do the cool thing. Get behind a winner, flip it to FSN tomorrow afternoon, and watch the Cyclones, and the best damn coach at ISU, try to improve their positioning for the NCAA tournament.
