Clone Chronicles Football Coverage

New, 2 comments

Now that we are only 5 days away from the football season, you may be wondering what kind of football coverage to expect on Clone Chronicles. I try to stay away from too much scheduling as I don't want this place to get mundane. Going into my first full season blogging on the Cyclones, I wanted to share with you my vision with how I see our football coverage this season:

Tuesday or Wednesday: "Insider Preview" of opponent. Getting a fellow SB Nation Blogger's thoughts on their team (or a beat writer's thoughts if there is not a SB Nation blog for that team). The exception will be Iowa. Living in Central Iowa, listening to local sports radio and watching local TV, I get plenty of insider updates on the Hawks.

Thursday or Friday: My preview of the game. I take the research I've done on the team, incorporate the team's insiders' thoughts, and make my own preview/prediction of the game

Saturday (During Game): Gamethread. This is posted just prior to kickoff and serves as in-game thread. You can post comments, thoughts, etc., as you are watching the game on TV or listening on the radio. If it is a game I am not attending (I attend most home games), I will participate as well.

Saturday (Post Game): Quick writeup on the game. I will write a brief summary, and give you the fan, an opportunity to sound off on what we just saw. If you're frustrated after a tough loss, or pumped after a big game, let it be known in the comments.

Later Saturday/Early Sunday: Breaking down the game further, doing a more thorough analysis, and looking forward to the next week.

Sunday: Initial CBS Blogpoll Ballot for the week

Tuesday: We will do it all again!

The exception to this is obviously the NDSU game, so everything other than the CBS Blogpoll Ballot gets moved up accordingly.

Again, this is not everything Clone Chronicles will be doing regarding football coverage, but rather a minimum that one can expect going into this season. I'm really looking forward to it, and I hope you are too!
