Marquis Gilstrap and Craig Brackins Will Be Playing In The NBA D-League

Tonight was the D-League draft. Gilstrap was taken in the 2nd round by the Rio Grande Vipers. The Vipers do play @ Iowa January 28th and 29th, so if Gilstrap is healthy, those are dates to circle if you'd like to see him play again. Jordan Egleseder from UNI is also on that team, although he signed through the Rockets organization.

In other D-League related news, Stinson is returning to the Iowa Energy, but that was known before the draft.

Some other familiar faces in the D-League include Jordan Egleseder joining Gilstrap on Rio Grande, along with Tweety Carter on the Tulsa 66ers, Tiny Gallon on the Maine Redclaws, and Craig Brackins is expected to log some D-League time for the Springfield Armor.

Other former Cyclones playing basketball and their whereabouts:
Will Blalock is playing in an Austrialian League for the Townsville Crocodiles
Jiri Hubalek is playing in Italy for Dinamo Basket Sassari
I'm not sure what Mike Taylor and Rashon Clark are up to. I know Taylor was in Serbia and Clark was in Finland, but not sure if they are still there. Details are kind of sketchy.

Other noteable players taken in the D-League draft:
Obi Muonelo from Oklahoma State being taken by the Fort Wayne Mad Ants
Scottie Reynolds from Villanova taken by Tulsa 66ers
Chris Lofton from Tennessee taken by the Iowa Energy
Tasheed Carr from Saint Joes (via ISU) taken by the Erie Bayhawks
Josh Young from Drake taken by the Austin Toros
Cyrus Tate from Iowa taken by the Bakersfield Jam
J.T. Tiller from Missouri taken by the Idaho Stampede
