I just wanted to take a few seconds and thank everybody (the readers, authors, fanpost writers, etc) for a great 2010! It was a fun year, and hopefully 2011 can be even better!
Normally people write these kind of things, promising better things for the next year, and thing like that. I can't really promise anything. I do not have any new updates up my sleeve that I was waiting to announce until today or anything like that.
As an Iowa State fan, I think there will be a lot of big storylines for 2011. For basketball, it is my hope that the hunger and excitement the fanbase used to have shows up more and more in Hilton. I hope conference play this year is well supported, we get some big wins at home, and of course in the 2011-12 season, I hope we are talking about our road to the NCAA tournament.
For football, there are a lot of things to look forward to as well. On offense, we will have a new quarterback, new starting running back, and some new starting offensive linemen. It is going to feel like a new team in many ways on that side of the ball, and I anticipate that will be a big discussion point. That, along with the fact that the schedule is going to be harder in the new look Big 12.
Of course, along the way things will come up that will make us say "wtf" because it seems to happen every year.
