Iowa State Basketball Recruiting Updates

New, 3 comments

Chris Williams from Cyclone Fanatic is reporting that Korie Lucious is being looked at by Baylor now as well. As far as what is known publicly, Iowa State and Baylor are the two schools that have shown interest in the point guard from Michigan State.

As far as who's scholarship Lucious would potentially take, there are rumors out there that Elgin Cook may not make it to Ames this coming fall. Elgin Cook did sign a LOI to play for the Cyclones, however he withdrew from his high school just a week or so ago. According to Mark Miller of Wisconsin Sports Network, Cook is now living with his father in Texas. There are now rumors of him going to prep school. He was suspended a few games earlier this year for being academically ineligible, and now left high school at least temporarily the spring of his senior year. I didn't write anything about this before, because I obviously do not know all of the details of the situation and what he is going through. What I will say, however, is  I hope in the end, it all works out well for Cook, regardless of what he does in life It sounds like he was in a dangerous situation, and safety is more important than anything else.

In other recruiting news, 4 star 2012 recruit J.P. Tokoto has narrowed schools down to his final eight, and Iowa State was left off the list. If it makes Cyclone fans feel better, Duke was left off the list too. Not even Coach K can land them all...
